Hole 11

This is where CHGC can really make a name for itself, natural beauty and outstanding golf holes – if only we had the time, money and staff to do it!

1. Above is how the 11 used to be, i.e. no light on tee. The surround was pruned back to allow light and reduce water removed from the tee by bushes/trees and below is how it has been maintained during the summer (it hasn't). But at least the turf has remained and for the first time in many years it hasn't turned into a dust bowl.

Plant yew hedge and below is how it could look. During winter time golfers can see cars driving past as they play 10th green to when they walk to the tee. Plant yews as marked.

plant these between the oaks (some small oaks should be removed) to achieve evergreen effect below

if the hedge goes right back into the corner, it will allow the tee to be extended back a few yards.

prefer above or below? if below the tee could be wider and further back?
